Are there any currently active serial murderers in the U.S.A.?

I know that they don't know their true identities but they do typically know if it's the work of a serial killer. I read a study that on average America produces the most serial killers and that each year there are 35 active. I don't mean ppl who were serial killers and are on death row or in prison forever because they are not active. But normally the media makes up nicknames for them, like (i know the ppl I'm about to list aren't real but this is just a example of a media nickname) Buffalo Bill, the Tooth Fairy, Hannibal the Cannibal. Or for real ppl Jack the Ripper. Are there any active serial killers. I know a lot of children ages 3-13 are going missing in central Florida could this be the work of a serial killer.
