Any body know if it's ok to just pick wobbles out of wild game and eat it anyway?

Warbles (wobbles round here) are botfly larvae common in game rodents such as squirrel and rabbit. I was wondering if ya'll know if it's ok to just cut them out of the meat and still eat it? I have heard eating them will make you very sick, but I don't see any harm in just picking them out.
